Valvoline, a brand of Ashland Inc., recently announced the addition of two new NextGen motor oil products for commercial and industrial customers, both made from 50% recycled oil. NextGen Premium Blue and NextGen All Fleet Plus exceed industry specifications with reduced environmental impact for two reasons:
1. Recycling used motor oil requires fewer resources than refining crude oil; and
2. Since used oil contains fewer contaminants and more usable molecules than crude oil, the result of the recycling process is a new, high quality base oil. With the addition of Valvoline's award-winning additives, NextGen surpasses industry standards as a 'better than new" products that matchs the bar set by other Valvoline oils.
Valvoline is also focusing its efforts on doing M.O.R.E. (Motor Oil Recycling Education). NextGen motor oil provides a platform to educate consumers about the larger environmental impact we can achieve through completing the cycle: changing oil, recycling oil and using recycled oil products.
